About Deon Binneman: Registered Counsellor
The focus of Deon’s practice lies in counselling related to relationship challenges, trauma and addiction. Deon is a registered (psychological) counsellor who consults with people (individuals and couples) that are experiencing relationship problems, such as troubled relationships, divorce as well as emotional and sexual abuse within relationships. In marriage and relationship counselling the focus lies in restoring and strengthening the relationship.
He counsels people that are going through a time of bereavement after the death of a loved one, while also offering counselling services to those who have suffered a distressing experiences such as the loss of a job or a decline in health. He often conducts courses such as GriefShare® for churches and other groups.
As a counsellor who is interested in trauma and grief treatment, Deon also focusses on individual trauma counselling with people that have suffered sudden and unexpected trauma, such as assault, hijacking, robbery, rape and other traumatic incidents. He conducts debriefing for groups of people who have gone through a traumatic experience or work in stressful situations, for example firemen, emergency personnel and medical staff.
He has a special interest in counselling individuals experiencing substance abuse and dependence issues. He is also experienced in dealing with problems such as the addiction to alcohol, drugs and gambling.

Consulting hours and fees
The practice is contracted out of medical aid, which means that you pay directly, and claim back the fees from your medical aid. Accounts are strictly payable immediately after consultation. It can be done by EFT. If you want another way of payment, you must discuss this beforehand. Any other way of payment (e.g. internet transfer) must take place within 24 hours.
